Alida is a passionate performer from South Africa with eight years in independent productions and professional theatre, including work at The National Children’s Theatre and various Shakespeare productions.
Alida was the head breakfast anchor at a local radio station, developing voice-over skills heard in animations and ads. She has also acted in a local soap opera.
For the past five years in Hong Kong, Alida has taught at top private schools, directing young performers in Musical Theatre and Speech Festivals. Recently, she lectured at AFDA, a film school, focusing on Integrated Voice and Movement.
Alida’s teaching emphasizes storytelling and inquiry-based methods. She continues to perform as a Jazz, Funk, and Pop singer at top venues and events like the HK Sevens.
